While looking for art supplies during a visit to Beijing, I came across a number of beautiful boxes intended merely to hold a customer's purchase. Each box itself seemed to me a work of art. This painting depicts several of the boxes, together with a set of wood-handled paint brushes (and a silk scarf I bought on the same trip).
